Overpopulation of any species threatens to change the entire make-up of the ecosystem and causes pollution, disease, hunger, migration and eventually extinction. Having this in mind, I started the work that speaks about the emergence of new structures and higher levels of complexity as a consequence of uncontrolled growth. Layered and clustered with an almost viral repetition, these pieces assume forms that both evoke natural ecosystems and clumps of cells. Directed by the material’s unique properties, they grow through repetitive labor until they collapse or until they take over every inch of the given surface.
